TRAVEL
Explore the many villages around the lake, go kayaking or standup paddleboarding, relax on the lakes' shores, and head to the nature reserve in San Marcos to go swimming!
Start your day by hiking the Indian Nose above Lake Atitlan before heading to Antigua, the beautiful historic city.
This is a huge bucket list hike, but it is very difficult! Most hike this as an overnight experience with a tour company where you stay in cabins or tents. Stay up late to watch Volcan de Fuego erupt before your eyes!
Spend the day leisurely walking around Antigua. Walk down the cobblestone streets, stop in a cafe for the best coffee, and eat amazing Guatemalan dishes at one of the many rooftop restauarants!
Spend your last day exploring ancient ruins around the city. Crumbling yet so beautiful, these ruins are scattered all over the city. Two of the best are: Museo del Hermano Pedro and Convento Capuchinas.
